Tape Art

This past May downtown Greensboro looked a little different thanks to a special collaboration between the Weatherspoon Art Museum, Downtown Greensboro Inc., and the ArtBeat Greensboro Festival.

During the ArtBeat Festival the first week in May, artists Michael Townsend, Colin Bliss and Paige Bradlley created a series of public tape art drawings on the facades of downtown retail shops, restaurants, and other highly trafficked areas that promises to bring the community together in a unique way. The project is entitled Tape Art: Drawn Together.

They premiered at Elsewhere on First Friday. I went and watched for a little bit. Admittedly, I am more impressed with their patience to do this than their creative genius. Pictures of all locations can be seen here. Judge for yourselves.
